West Bengal issues general guidelines for vaccination

On 18th May, 2021 the Government of West Bengal issued guidelines for the administration of vaccines. The process has been split into two groups-

  • Group A-

    • General- for the people at large

    • groups which are super spreaders/ public facing/ forcibly exposed to public mingling

  • Group B-

    • Residuary segments of government and para-government employees including judicial staff

    • dealers of essential services/goods and their operating staff that is ration dealer, kerosene dealer and LPG dealers and petrol pump staff

    • Transport workers including auto/taxi and toto drivers and rickshaw pullers

    • Journalists

    • Lawyers and muharrirs, law clerks

    • sex workers and transgenders

    • hawkers including newspaper vendors

    • Retail sellers of vegetables/ grocery items/ fish etc

    • COVID volunteers

    • Inmates of social welfare homes, correctional homes
