West Bengal issues guidelines for vaccination of priority groups
On 18th May, 2021 the Government of West Bengal issued guidelines for the vaccination of residuary segments of Government of para-government employees and approved priority groups. The following groups have been identified for vaccination-
General- for public at large
Groups which are super-spreaders/ public-facing/ fore public mingling/ groups which are endangered as well as potential spreaders- to be handled by sectoral departments in conjunction.
Those belonging to the age group 18-44 years will be administered vaccine from the State’s own procured stock and those above 45 years of age have to be administered vaccine from an earmarked separate stock under different CVC heads. This is for ensuring proper accounting of vaccines.
