Revised Guidelines for International passengers.
In addition to the directions issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI the Karnataka Govt. has issued a comprehensive set of guidelines for international passengers arriving in Karnataka. Some of these guidelines have been reproduced below-
Apart from RT-PCR, there shall be an Option of express RT-PCR test (Abbott) given at Bangalore airport.
International passengers in Home quarantine after testing negative on 7th day, shall continue for another 7 days in home quarantine.
Testing shall happen at the airport and exit will be allowed only after receiving a negative RT-PCR report.
Travellers including airlines crew on short stay/ short term/ business purposes shall be regulated as follows :
International travellers (covered under Part A or Part B) on short stay/short term / business purpose (less than 14 days) and who have tested negative and remain symptom free, shall undergo all the procedures as above and shall be permitted to leave Karnataka under proper intimation to their District/State health authorities, subject to them fulfilling the requirement of the airlines and destination country.
To establish that one is on short stay/short term/ business visitor, person should show confirmed return flight ticket which should not be more than 14 days later from the date of arrival. The person should show the documents pertaining to the purpose of visit, place of stay, return ticket, visa, etc.
They should provide the address proof of person in Karnataka intending to meet. They shall provide the negative report of RT-PCR test done within 72 hours before the departure from UK, Brazil, and South Africa, as relevant.
He/ she shall compulsorily undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR test at the airport and following negative report, they shall be exempted from quarantine.
He/she shall undergo compulsory RT-PCR testing on 7th day of arrival if staying more than 7 days.
He/she if tested positive for COVID-19, the person shall follow the COVID-19 guidelines for isolation, treatment, etc.
All precautions of wearing mask, using hand sanitizer, respiratory hygiene, physical distancing, etc. should be strictly followed.
If the traveller develops any COVID-19 like symptoms during their visit, they shall compulsorily seek medical consultation and get tested for COVID-19.
The traveller shall be monitored for COVID-19 like symptoms by district surveillance unit.
