Guidelines for catering services and food handlers in Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts & Dhabas.
The Karnataka Govt. released a comprehensive set of guidelines for preventive measures which are required to be taken by catering services and food handlers in hotels, restaurants, resorts and dhabas to contain the spread of COVID. Some of these measures are listed below-
Self-monitoring of health by all food handlers and reporting any illness at the earliest to the nearest health care facility.
Compulsory RT-PCR testing of all catering staff shall be done fortnightly. Only those with negative RT-PCR certificate shall be permitted to provide catering services.
All staff and patrons to be allowed entry only if using face cover/masks. The face cover/masks have to be worn at all times inside the restaurant.
Adequate manpower shall be deployed by catering management for ensuring physical distancing norms.
