Ministry releases framework for Containment of areas.

On 25th April, 2021 the Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order specifying the framework to be adopted for containment measures. The same is required to be followed strictly by all States/UT’s. Some of these measures have been listed below-

  • Individual action of wearing masks and maintaining six feet distance.

  • The parameter for containment shall be either-

    • Test Positivity of 10% or more in the last one week or

    • Bed occupancy of more than 60% on either oxygen supported or ICU beds.

  • Social/Political/sports/entertainment/academic/cultural/religious/festival related and other gathering and congregations shall be prohibited.

  • Marriages attended by upto 50 persons and funerals/last rites attended by up to 20 persons may be allowed.
