Restrictions imposed in Raipur
On 31st May, 2021, the Government of Chhattisgarh imposed certain restrictions regarding the movement of people in Raipur:
1) All swimming pools, cinema halls, water parks, theme parks and places of mass public gathering will be banned to the general public.
2) Schools and colleges will remain closed for the students. Only those students appearing for the examination will be allowed.
3) All types of gatherings, rallies, processions, parades, demonstrations and social, political, sports and cultural events shall be prohibited.
4) All types of shops, malls, supermarkets and commercial establishments except those mentioned above, can be opened on every day except Sundays until 6:00PM.
5) Hotels, restaurants, clubs and bars will remain open until 10:00PM. Dining is allowed only if it is within 50% of the total capacity of the restaurant. However, priority will be given to home delivery and take away.
6) Marriages will strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocol. The maximum number of people that can attend the event will be 50. The maximum number of people who can participate in a funeral will be 20.
7) All hospitals, medical shops and clinics will operate in their stipulated times. Medical shop operators will allow home delivery of medicines for patients.
8) Petrol pumps, gas agencies and medical shops will be open fill time. Gas agencies will give priority to home delivery of cylinders to customers through orders.
9) Night lockdown will be applicable every day from 6:00PM to 6:00AM. Sundays will be a complete lockdown during which only hospitals, clinics, medical shops, petrol pumps, and ration shops will be open.
