Meghalaya releases guidelines for admission of COVID patients in hospitals

On 5th May, 2021 the Government of Meghalaya released the guidelines for the admission of COVID positive patients in hospitals. Persons infected with COVID have been categorised into four types-

  • persons who show no symptoms

  • persons with mild symptoms

  • persons needing oxygen support

  • persons having severe symptoms needing critical care and ventilator support

No hospital in the State, in any case, will deny admission to needy patients who qualify to be admitted in hospitals.
