Bihar fixes ambulance charges for COVID patients

On 5th May, 2021 the Government of Bihar issued a notification fixing ambulance charges for COVID patients to avoid exorbitant prices being imposed on the patients. The charges are detailed below-

  • Small non-AC vehicle- Rs.1,500/- (upto 50km; Rs.18 for every km after 50km)

  • Small AC vehicle- Rs. 1,700/- (upto 50km; Rs.18 for every km after 50km)

  • Bolero/Sumo/Marshal (non-AC)- Rs. 1,800/- (upto 50km; Rs.18 for every km after 50km)

  • Bolero/Sumo/Marshal (AC)- Rs. 2,100/- (upto 50km; Rs.18 for every km after 50km)

  • Maxi/City Ride/ Winger/ Tempo traveller and equivalent (14-22 seat)- Rs. 2,500/- (upto 50km; Rs.25 for every km after 50km)

  • Xylo/ Scorpio/ Qualis/ Tavera (AC)- Rs.2,500/- (upto 50km; Rs.25 for every km after 50km)
