National Human Rights Commission issues Advisory for the protection of rights of children

The Advisory issued on June 2nd, 2021 is in continuation of the ‘Human Rights Advisory for Protection of the Rights of Children in the context of COVID-19’. Some of the guidelines are:

  • Strengthen paediatric COVID hospitals and protocols

  • Vaccination coverage of health workers and frontline staff

  • Psycho-Social Support

  • Training of ground level workers

  • Food and Nutrition through continuation and expansion of feeding centres/ community kitchens.

  • Maintaining disaggregated data on the official website regarding the various categories of children tested for COVID-19
