Manipur: People shouldn’t face harassment when they go to pharmacies

On 13th May, 2021, the Manipur High Court held that people in areas with curfews must not face difficulties.

1) Banks and Post Offices are allowed to be open providing the staff adheres to COVID-19 protocols, including social distancing and wearing masks.

2) Banks can be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00AM to 2:30PM. ATM transactions are allowed.

3) Shops may be open from 6AM to 10AM every day. Pharmacies were exempted from restrictions.

4) Individuals going out to pharmacies must not face harassment from the police if they do not have a prescription

5) Government must ensure that pharmacies must be stocked with every kind of drug including OTC ones.
