Mahasamund Area in Chattisgarh is a containment zone

The Government of Chhattisgarh declared the Mahasamund area to be a containment zone from 14th April, 2021 to 22nd April, 2021, between 6:00AM and 12:00PM. Further, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure that prohibits gatherings has been imposed. Some of the relevant guidelines are as follows.

1) All hospitals, medical shops and clinics will be open. Medical shops will try to home deliver medicines as much as possible.

2) Ration shops will be open from 10:30AM to 4:30PM.

3) All mandis, wholesale and retail grocery shops will be closed. However, farmers and producers can directly supply their produce to vendors between 6:00AM and 2:00PM.

4) Ambulances, home deliveries, vehicles used for transport, newspaper hawkers and milk vendors are some of the vehicles not stopped in containment zones

5) Newspapers can be distributed between 6:00AM to 8:00AM and 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

6) Gas Cylinders can only take telephonic or online orders and home deliver.

7) Transport for animal feed and food supply shall continue

8) Electricity, drinking water and municipal services shall continue. They need not their ID cards

9) E Commerce delivery shall continue

10) All liquor shops shall be closed

11) Religious, cultural and tourist places shall be closed

12) All meetings, social, religious and political events are banned. The maximum number of people that may attend marriages and funerals are 10.

13) Work relating to vaccination, contact tracing, and drug distribution shall continue.
