Kerala fixes maximum price for medical items to make it available to the common man.

On 14th May the Government of Kerala released an order declaring certain medical items as essential items under the provisions of the Kerala Essential Articles Control Act, 1986. The maximum prices for these articles was fixed to make it available to the common man at fair prices. The prices of the medical items have been given below-

  • PPE kits- Rs. 273/-

  • N95 masks- Rs.22/-

  • Triple layer masks- Rs.3.90/-

  • Face shield- Rs.21/-

  • Apron (disposable)- Rs.12/-

  • Surgical gown- Rs.65/-

  • Examination gloves (number)- Rs.5.75/-

  • Hand sanitiser (500ml)- Rs. 192/-

  • Hand sanitiser (200ml)- Rs. 98/-

  • Hand sanitiser (100ml)- Rs. 55/-

  • Sterile gloves (pair)- Rs. 15/-

  • NRB mask- Rs. 80/-

  • Oxygen mask- Rs. 54/-

  • Flowmeter with humidifier- Rs. 1520/-

  • Finger tip pulse oximeter- Rs. 1500/-
