Jharkhand issues guidelines for quarantine of migrant workers

On 5th May, 2021 the Government of Jharkhand issued an order for the quarantine of migrant workers to contain the spread of COVID in rural areas of Jharkhand. Some of these guidelines have been reproduced below-

  1. All migrant workers coming back to the state of Jharkhand shall be tested (RAT) on arrival.

  2. Those migrant workers who test negative shall be quarantined for 7 days in institutional quarantine facilities to be set up at appropriate level by respective district administration.

  3. They shall be tested (RAT) again before departure for home

  4. Those tested positive in any of the two test mentioned above shall be managed as per protocol of Department of Health and Family Welfare.
