Documents/Notices/Summons and Daks can be sent through mail/fax/whatsapp.

On 16th April, 2021 the High Court of Delhi issued a circular stating that notice/summons and other such documents which were previously required to be served through physical mode could now be served via mail/fax or whatsapp, in light of the surge in the number of COVID cases in New Delhi.

Relevant extracts of the said circular have been reproduced below-

“till further orders, all documents/notices/summons/Daks through physical mode be dispensed with, except where there is a specific order to that effect by the Hon’ble Court, and that such service be instead permitted to be effected through e-mail/fax/whatsapp.”
