Pandemic Restrictions in Bhopal until 15th June, 2021
On 31st May, 2021, the Government of Madhya Pradesh issued a notification regarding the restrictions to be imposed in the State:
1) There will be night curfew in the entire district from 8:00PM to 6:00AM. There will be a public curfew every Saturday and Sunday in the entire district from 8:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM on Monday.
2) Except urban administration, rural development, electricity supply, public transport, treasury and the registration department, all the remaining offices may operate with 100% capacity of officers, and 60% employees.
3) The only exception to this are essential services in the form of District Administration, Police, Civil Defense, Fire Brigades, Electricity, Water, Sanitation, Postal Department, Treasury, Disaster Management etc. Offices relating to procurement of food grains, and Department of Forest and Climate change shall work as usual.
4) Banking services and ATMs, Public Distribution system, gorcery shops fruits and vegetables, agricultural and related activities, print and electronic media, telecommunications, Construction work, Petrol Pumps, LPG, Petroleum and food vendors will proceed as usual.
5) Hospitals, Medical shops and clinics shall be open as usual.
6) Guidelines for vehicles:
(a) Public transport shall operate at 50% capacity
(b) Medical vehicles and ambulances shall operate as usual
(c) Movement of maintenance service providers like electricians, plumber etc.
7) All schools and educational institutions will be shut. Offline exams in these places will be completely closed. Online classes can proceed.
8) Restaurants are not permitted to allow in-house dining. Deliveries are permitted between 9AM and 9PM. Room delivery for hotel guests is permissible
9) All social, political, religious, entertainment and sporting events in public places are prohibited.
10) No more than 6 people can be present at any gathering. Funeral will be allowed with a maximum of 10 people. Marriage will be allowed with a maximum of 20 people. Guest list needs to be supplied to the SDM.
11) All cinema halls, shopping malls, swimming pools, theatres, picnic sports, auditoriums etc. will be closed.
12) All industrial activities will be able to continue providing the workers have a valid ID card.
13) Home delivery will be allowed with e-commerce companies.
