Lockdown in Tamil Nadu till 24th May, 2021

On 14th May, 2021 the Government of Tamil Nadu issued a notification extending the lockdown from 15th May to 24th May, 2021. Some of the new restrictions have been given below-

  1. Stand alone shops selling provisions, s Vegetables, Meat and Fish which were permitted to function till 12.00 noon shall be permitted to function only from 06.00 A.M. to 10.00 A.M. without Air-conditioning faCility. Further, maximum 50 percent customers at a time shall be allowed in these shops. E-commerce entities like Dunzo shall be permitted to deliver provisions, vegetable, meat and fish only from 06.00 A.M. to 10.00 A.M. All other shops, other than provision stores, vegetable shops, meat and fish stalls shall remain closed.

  2. ATM,Petrol/ Diesel Bunk shall functlon as usual

  3. Medical shops and indigenous medicine stores shall be permitted to function as usual.

  4. General Public are advised to buy provisions vegetables from the shops near their houses and not to travel long distances for purchase of provisions and vegetables. General public will be prevented travelling long distances for purchase of essential commodities.

  5. Platform vendors selling vegetables, flowers and fruits who were permitted to function till 12.00 noon shall not be permitted hereafter.

  6. Tea shops which were permitted to function till 12.00 noon shall remain closed. vii. Other E-commerce entities shall be permitted to operate from 02.00 P.M.to 06.00 P.M.
