Bihar announces stricter lockdown till 25th May, 2021

On 13th May, 2021 the Government of Bihar announced that the lockdown would be extended till 25th May. In the new lockdown, if persons are caught driving unnecessarily on the roads, there will be a fine of two thousand rupees. Apart from this, all educational institutions including schools, colleges and coaching will remain closed as before. The ban on eating in the restaurant will continue. Only home delivery will be valid. Apart from this, the ban will be applicable on all social, political, entertainment, sports and religious events as before. Locks will also be installed in parks and cinemas.

In the new lockdown shops related to food items and compulsory service in urban areas will be open from 6 am to 10 pm. The opening hours of these shops in the rural areas are from 8 am to 12 noon. In the first lockdown, the time limit was from 7 am to 11 am.
