Chattisgarh: Durg is a Containment Zone

On 4th May, 2021, the Government of Chhattisgarh decided to extend the lockdown in Durg until 17th May, 2021, 6:00AM. Durg is a containment zone therefore, all boundaries of the Durg district will be sealed. Some of the relevant guidelines are as follows:

1) All the bazaars, swimming pools, clubs, saloons and beauty parlors will be closed.

2) All liquor shops and bars will be closed

3) All religious, cultural, tourist places and parks shall be completely closed to the public

4) Public offices shall be closed to the general public and shall be open with 50 percent staff for official purposes.

5) Schools and colleges will remain closed to the students and all educational institutions including coaching classes will be closed.

6) All social and religious gatherings are prohibited. The maximum number of people for both weddings and funerals is 10.

7) Mandis and wholesale retail shops will be closed but loading is allowed between 11:00Am and 5:00PM for the supply of essential items.

8) Home delivery is allowed through Swiggy and Zomato between 6AM and 8PM. However, in-house dining and take away are prohibited.

9) With the exception of Sunday, shops are allowed to stay open until 5PM everyday.

10) Milk can be delivered between 6AM to 8AM.
