Assam: Restrictions imposed for 15 days with effect from May 21st, 2021

On 17th May, 2021 the Government of Assam issued an order suspending all inter-district transport services and movement of people to and from other districts for 15 days with effect from 5AM on 21st May, 2021. Some of the exceptions have been given below-

  1. Movement of goods and persons including frontline workers in connection with COVID-19 duties on production of valid documents.

  2. Movement of officials- and persons, both government and private emergency services such as Health and Family Welfare, and all related medical establishments, Police, prisons, home guards, civil defence, fire and emergency services, district administration, pay and account office, electricity, water and sanitation, public transport including all incidental services/ activities that are essential for smooth functioning of all modes of public transport

  3. Movement of pregnant women and patients for getting medical /hearth services.

  4. Movement of persons coming from/going travel on production to Airports/Railway stations/ISBTs allowed to travel on production of valid ticket.
