WB puts norms in place to ensure availability of isolation beds for suspected COVID-19 patients

As per the memo dated 6 May 2021 the WB government has placed the following norms to ensure availability of isolation beds for suspected COVID-19 patients:

1.    All BPHC, RH and Bedded PHC to have 5-10 isolation beds for admission of suspected COVID-19 patients.

2.    All such patients must have been detected COVID-19 positive by RAT method and should be transported to nearby designate COVID hospital/ COVID ward of other hospital after stabilisation.

3.    1-2 Ambulances (102 / Others) must be tagged with all BPHC and RH for transportation of such patients.
