COVID cases to be triaged before admission in all Govt. and Private hospitals.

On 26th April, 2021 the Govt. of Karnataka clarified that all govt. and private health care facilities must mandatorily triage patients before admission. Based on the degree of symptoms of the cases they may later be shifted to COVID Care centres, Designated COVID Hospitals and DCHC for further treatment.

In view of upsurge in COvID-19 cases across the State, it is made mandatory that the COVID-19 cases admitted in Government and Private Health Facilities shall be triaged before admission. Further, treatment and management shall be done as per the guidelines and protocol already shared. Based on the degree of symptom the cases may be further shifted to Covid Care Centers, Designated COVID Hospital and DCHC for further treatment and management.

Once the bed is blocked for admitting a COVID positive patient in a hospital through CHBMS system of BBMP, if the bed is not occupied after triaging, the hospital administration shall inform Arogya Mitra/BBMP-CHBMS nodal officer, wB in turn will inform the BBMP COVID war room to unblock the bed immediately for utilization by another patient.
