Special Compassionate Financial Assistance to family members of employees who die during active COVID duty

On 8th June, 2021, the Government of Haryana decided to grant Special Compassionate Financial Assistance to eligible family members of employees who:

1. Worked on a regular basis or adhoc or

2. Worked on a temporary basis or

3. Worked for daily wages or

4. Honorarium based work or

5. Were a Guest Teacher or

6. Were engaged under an Outsourcing Policy

And dies on active Covid duty, especially relating to the management of Covid or maintenance of essential services. The family members of these individuals are eligible for a Special Compassionate Financial Assistance of Rs. 20 lakh.

A Government employee who works on a regular basis in any Department and dies due to Covid will have his family eligible for a financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh, after his death.

A person who is working ad hoc, temporary, work charged, daily wages, honorarium based, Guest Teacher, engaged under outsourcing, dies due to Covid will also have his family eligible for financial assistane of Rs. 5 lakh, after his death.
