Odisha implements a ‘four digit security code’ system in the COWIN portal

On 11th May, 2021 the Government of Odisha issued a notification implementing a ‘four digit security code’ system in the CoWIN portal to minimise errors during online appointment booking. The Government noticed that there were some instances where beneficiaries had booked their appointments for the vaccination but did not actually attend their vaccination on the scheduled date. However, they received a notification through SMS that a vaccine dose had been administered to them.
