Karnataka reopens vaccination for 18-44 year age group

On 20th May, 2021 the Government of Karnataka issued a notification stating that they would be reopening vaccination for 18-44 age group from 22nd May, 2021. State procured vaccines will be utilised to vaccinate the eligible beneficiaries. Some of the guidelines surrounding this have been reproduced below-

  1. State has identified corona front line warriors who will be receiving vaccination initially

  2. Deputy Commissionera at the district level and BBMP Chief Commissioner in BBMP will be in charge of vaccination of this group

  3. Work place vaccination will be the mode of implementation

  4. Nodal officers for each category will be nominated by DCs/ Chief Commissioner BBMP to facilitate COVID vaccination with covishield

  5. Nodal officer will have to issue eligibility certificate of category under which beneficiary will be vaccinated

  6. Producing eligibility certificate is mandatory to avail vaccination

  7. Any valid ID approved by GOI need to be produced for registration on cowin portal

  8. No. of such vaccination sites and no. of vaccinations per day will be decided by districts based on availability of vaccines

  9. After completion of state FLWs other priority groups as per list will be vaccinated.
