Tamil Nadu- Vaccination centres to be accessible to the differently abled.

The High Court at Madras in a recent order protected the rights of the differently abled community by directing the State Govt. to ensure that all govt. vaccination centres are equipped with ramps or other measures in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Relevant extracts of the said order have been reproduced below-

“Immediate steps should be taken by the State to ensure that vaccination centres are accessible to persons with disabilities by constructing ramps or other measures in accordance with the said Act of 2016.”
