West Bengal Government places stricter restrictions from May 5th until further notice; Offices/factories, metro and road services to function at 50% capacity, suburban trains suspended

On 5th May, 2021, the West Bengal Government has imposed stricter covid 19 restrictions until any further notice from the Government

Important information regarding these restrictions include:

1) 50% attendance per shift for all State Government, para-state, factories/industries, mills, manufacturing industries, tea gardens and ALL private offices

2) Banks to remain open between 10AM and 2 PM on weekdays only.

3)Public places like shopping complexes/malls , cinema halls, restaurants/bars, sports complexes, gyms, spas/beauty parlours will remain.

4) Road transport and metro rail to function at 50% capacity.

5) All suburban trains remain suspended for 14 days.

6) Public gatherings for social/political/academic/entertainment purposes will remain closed. Thus, all schools and colleges will not be allowed to open.
