Gauhati HC states that only 40% of staff to be permitted.

The High Court of Gauhati issued a notification clarifying that the attendance of staff at all subordinate courts in Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal shall be restricted to 40% of the staff. Further, the Courts shall only be taking urgent matters.

Relevant extracts of the said notification have been reproduced below-

  1. The Guidelines stipulated in the aforesaid Notification No. 28 dated 19th April, 2021 and 29 dated 20th April, 2021 for restricted court functioning with staggered roster in virtual mode in the Principal Seat as well as Outlying Benches at Kohima, Aizawl and Itanagar and all the subordinate courts of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh shall remain effective subject to the modification to the extent of attendance of staff to 40% instead of 50% in alternate dates. However, it is made clear that such roster is not deemed as leave granted and the off rostered staff shall make themselves available to attend the offices as and when called for at short notice.
