Full payment of wages for all employees during lockdown- Telangana.

On 11th May, 2021 the Government of Telangana issued a notification imposing lockdown in the state till 22nd May, 2021. While doing so they expressly stated that all government and private establishments shall pay full salary during the period.

Relevant extracts of the said notification have been reproduced below-

“All Government, as well as private establishments shall make payments of wages/salaries fully to the workers/ employees including those working under contract and outsourcing basis during the above period. Any violation will be viewed seriously and will invite penal action under relevant Act(s).”
