Delhi Guidelines for the effective functioning of Sakhi One-Stop Centres, Protection Officers and Women’s Shelter Homes

On 27th May, 2021, the Government of Delhi issued the following guidelines:

  1. Women’s Shelter Homes must maintain an isolation/quarantine facility within the institutions where any inmate experiencing symptoms can be shifted into

  2. Any inmate who tests positive is kept under the supervision of medical professionals at COVID care centres

  3. If a Shelter Home is full, they must accommodate the woman through linkages and coordination with the network of other shelter homes.

  4. Newly admitted inmate must be kept in quarantine facility.

  5. All residents must get regularly screened for COVID.

  6. Medical records of women who are unwell must be maintained. There should be a register of COVID cases, quarantine isolation cases and the records of testing undertaken.
