Sikkim extends lockdown till 31st May, 2021
On 22nd May, 2021 the Government of Sikkim issued a notification extending complete lockdown in the State till 31st May, 2021. All state government offices, private commercial establishments, institutions, gymnasiums, markets and factories other than those engaged in production of medicines, medical equipment, oxygen, health and hygiene care products and allied sectors shall remain closed.
Inter district and inter state movement of people and vehicles including passenger vehicles required for essential goods shall be allowed.
Medicine shops/ petrol pumps shall be allowed to remain open.
Milk vending shops, vegetable shops, ration shops and fair price shops will be permitted to remain open from 8:00AM up to 11:00AM
In case of extreme emergency like funerals concerned DCs may issue emergency permits to not more than 20 persons for conduct of last rites, duly ensuring COVID protocols.
