Tamil Nadu announces free health care for PMJAY and CMCHIS card holders

The Government of Tamil Nadu announced free healthcare for all PMJAY and CMCHIS card holders in all designated private and government hospitals. This covers RT-PCR tests, non critical COVID-19 management, critical COVID-19 management with or without ventilation support. This is only applicable to persons referred by government hospitals/health department/Chennai corporation officers. The following have been included within this scheme-

  • ventilator charges

  • Personal protective equipment

  • Nursing services and boarding charges

  • Basic medical and laboratory tests

  • Drugs and disposables

  • Doctors fee, etc.
