Odisha constitutes Committee to monitor the incidence of Mucormycosis in patients

On 14th May, 2021 the Government of Odisha issued an order constituting a State Level committee to monitor the incidence of Mucormycosis in patients admitted to different hospitals in the State and formulate a guideline for early detection and management of such cases if detected.

All Government Medical Colleges in the State shall constitute an expert committee each comprising of members from department if Medicine and/or pulmonary medicine, dermatology, ENT, ophthalmology, and neurology (if available) for co-ordination of diagnosis and management of such cases.

All hospitals (government, Corporate, Missionary and Private) shall report the admission of any case of Mucormycosis and investigation records to DPH, Odisha (dph.orissa@gmail.com) only after confirmation of the cases.
