Himachal issues guidelines for COVID facilities in the State
On 3rd May, 2021 the Government of Himachal Pradesh issued an order with regard to the necessary measures that all COVID-19 facilities must take. Some of these measures have been detailed below-
A separate area shall be earmarked in each hospital with effective seating arrangement for the attendants of the patients duly following physical distancing guidelines and with strict implementation of COVID appropriate behavior and infection prevention and control practices.
Necessary arrangement for drinking water and other basic amenities shall also be ensured.
Few dedicated phones shall also be provided in these areas with connectivity to designated duty nurses in the COVID wards to facilitate two way interaction between attendants and the duty staff for communication.
All the hospitals shall assign a dedicated Senior Doctor who shall brief the attendants at a particular pre-announced time every day about the status of other patients.
Similarly, there an audio/video integration between patients and their attendants as per feasibility and patients health condition can also be arranged. This communication shall also be organized at least once on a daily basis
