Goa HC amends previous order requiring negative test to enter State.

Last week the High Court of Bombay at Goa held that only persons holding negative RT-PCR tests would be allowed entry into Goa. However, on 11th May, 2021 the High Court modified its order stating that people who are coming to Goa on account of a medical emergency or in an ambulance, will be permitted entry into the State.

Relevant extracts of the said order have been reproduced below-

โ€œThe State Administration shall ensure that no person who does not possess a Covid negativity certificate based on a test done a maximum 72 hours before seeking entry into Goa, will be permitted to enter into Goa. The only exception shall be for persons entering in Goa for medical emergency on production of proof or those who are coming in an ambulance.โ€
