Assam announces protocol for prophylactic use of Ivermectin

On 4th June, 2021 the Govt. of Assam announced a protocol for the prophylactic use of Ivermectin in light of the increasing number of cases in the State.

Patient Selection:

  1. Age more than 18 years

  2. Asymptomatic house hold contacts

Exclusions:

  1. People previously treated for COVID-19

  2. Asymptomatic contacts who have HRCT chest done and suggestive for COVID-19 infection
