Ration card now considered valid photo ID for Co-WIN

On June 14th, 2021 the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a letter to all states stating that Ration cards with photo issued under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) shall be considered valid photo ID proof for verification of beneficiary prior to COVID-19 vaccination. This would improve access to BPL/ Antodaya beneficiaries.
