Odisha revises hiring charges for Ambulances

On 17th May, 2021 the Government of Odisha issued a notification prescribing maximum hiring charges for Patient Transport Ambulance (PTA), Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance and Advance Life support (ALS) ambulance operating across the State of Odisha. The prices have been given below-

The prices quoted above are only for the first 10 kms. Subsequently, the following rates shall apply-

  • PT Ambulances- Rs. 30/- per additional km exceeding 10kms.

  • BLS Ambulances- Rs. 50/- per additional km exceeding 10kms.

  • ALS Ambulances- Rs. 50/- per additional km exceeding 10kms.

The rates include oxygen, ambulance equipment, PPE kit, gloves, mask, face shield, sanitisation, driver, emergency medical technician (EMT) where required. However, for administration of any medication (injectable/oral) the additional cost is to be charged as per usual.
